| Rev. Charles Harris Sr., Assistant to Pastor |

The youngest of four children, Dr. Harris was born crippled with his legs severely deformed, and a heart condition that was life threatening. When he was almost two, his mother dropped him off at a babysitter’s home and did not return. But God had a plan for his life; the babysitter was a devout Apostolic woman! She took him to the church where her pastor anointed this broken little boy with oil, and prayed for him in the Name of Jesus Christ; he was instantly healed. To God be the Glory! The babysitter and her husband (The Harris Family) adopted Dr. Harris raising him in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
The call of God in Dr. Harris’ life was evident at a very early age. He preached his first public message at age twelve, and wrote his first book that same year. He has been blessed by God to become a musician, author, playwright and songwriter with more than thirty-seven works to date. He graduated from Grace Apostolic College/Seminary with Dual Doctorates in Divinity and Christian Psychology. He was ordained as a minister in 1989, and was consecrated a Bishop in 2005.
Approximately twelve years ago, God granted Dr. Harris one of his life-long desires to engage in international mission ministry. Since that time He has taken more than eighteen trips (with a special love for the Philippines) to foreign soil to share the Gospel in more than eight countries.
He is married to the love of his life, Rita, and this past December they celebrated twenty-four years together. They have been blessed to have three wonderful sons Charles, Nathan, and Justin all of whom have been greatly involved in ministry. As a family they have had the opportunity to plant three churches spanning seventeen plus years of pastoral ministry.
The Harris Family has been attending Hilltop Tabernacle since February 2007, and is forever grateful for the great leadership of Pastor and Sister Buxton. Dr. Harris is delighted to serve on the ministry staff, helping in whatever capacity needed.
