Sunday School Mission and Vision
The mission of our Sunday School Department is beautifully illustrated by the following scriptures:
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."

Sunday School affords the opportunity to teach the word of God to every person from preschoolers to Adults. We strive to bring the word of God to them at their comprehension level in order to meet their individual needs.
We are living in a generation where children are being neglected morally educationally and spiritually. Parents are too busy with things such as jobs, home care, and entertainment. Our Sunday School Department will act to fill the void created by neglect in the home and school.
The importance of our Sunday School teachers in this effort cannot be overstated. Our teachers are anointed with a burden as evidenced by their enthusiasm, commitment, conviction, creativity, and moral integrity. "Going the extra mile" is the norm for our Sunday School staff.
The Sunday School department believes a truly educated individual is one who has been instructed in righteousness and holiness as set forth by the Word of God. Using the Word of God as their foundation, our teachers are dedicated to instilling godly principles in our children. It is our belief that these will prepare them for life's adverse conditions. However, most importantly our children will learn how they must pray, discipline themselves, and be sensitive to the leading of the Spirit in when making life decisions.
